At Parkwood we offer casement windows in a variety of designs to compliment the look of your home. Some styles we offer include standard casement, Georgian styles, cottage styles and leaded along with a range of styles with Georgian glazing bars.
Our 70mm thick sections have an attractive internal mould on the frame and sash. Opening lights are hinged on stainless steel friction stays which offer generous opening angles allowing for quick and easy cleaning of the window.
A choice of attractive handles operate multipoint sash locking systems which also incorporate a night vent position for extra security on those warm summer nights. Weather seal gasket is discreetly grooved into the timber section of all opening sashes, ensuring a tight weather proof seal.
We have taken care in the design and development of our window system, to avoid water becoming trapped; hence all bottom beads are fitted to allow any water ingress to easily drain from the frame. Windows that require "Means of escape" are hinged on egress friction stays to conform to Local Authority Building control regulations.
At Parkwood we are often asked for traditional joinery sections and profiles for those small cottage style windows that make regulation "Means of Escape" difficult.
In order that we can comply with the building regulations "Means of Escape" and continue to provide those charming little windows, we have designed a window that opens the complete aperture without obstruction for escape to ladder access.
At Parkwood all our windows, doors and conservatories use high performance glazing as standard. 24mm soft-coat glazing performs at 1.3WM2k and can be offered with Argon gas filled cavities for absoloute maximum energy efficiency.
Soft-coat glazed units incorporate a "Duplex" mid pane spacer bar set inside the unit with Georgian glass bars fitted over the glass. All glass units are safety glazed as required by the Glazing code of Practice.
Whether your requirements are for traditional sliding sash Georgian windows, incorporating bespoke ovolo, torus, ogee or lambs tongue moulds, or for the clean lines appearance of modern and contemporary tilt and turn window systems, or for casement windows or traditional bay windows then, at Parkwood, we can offer the desired solution.
